Boo I loved the book. Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Such a great afternoon spent relaxing and reading A Different Bus.

BOO, LOVE YOUR NEW BOOK!!! MY ROOTS ARE IN GEORGIA TOO. YOU WERE DESTINED TO TELL YOUR STORY AND HELP OTHERS ALONG THEIR JOURNEY
Baby Iris was born during the Depression to unwed teenager Marguerite, who was banished to New Orleans by her deep-South rural family to give birth and give away her bastard baby. Another sister, Lillie, in this family of 12 children, pregnant at the exact same time, was banished elsewhere with the same shameful task. Marguerite dutifully returned home empty-handed but Lillie defied the family edict and brought her baby home… a tragic shock and a never-ending source of remorse and anger for the grieving Marguerite.

Meanwhile Iris, renamed Clara (Boo), was adopted by a young couple determined to remedy their earlier mistakes – unaware the adoption matron concocted fanciful lies about Boo’s background to convince them to adopt her. As an adult, Boo embarked on an impossible search for her birthparents in all the wrong places…
